Even though it is true that no matter how large they want to make some containers some fruit trees are better off on the ground than in any type of container. As they will function more where there will be space for their growth unlike having to confine them in a container.

The steps that are involved in planting these fruit trees in containers are;
- Make use of any kind of container as long as it has drainage holes and an adequate size for the tree which is around 10 to 16 inches in diameter.
- Ensure the container is filled with a light, well-drained potting mixture. Do a little mound in the middle of the pot and set the roots over the mound. Do well to cover the roots with soil and tamp it lightly.
- Leave the stake in place to aid the tree to become sturdy while the roots become rooted.
- Place it where it will have access to full sun, and southern exposure.
- Water moderately to keep the soil moist, but not soggy.
